Did you know that Hepatitis actually infects 10 times the amount of people that HIV infects? You could be at risk of contracting the disease and because of the low awareness of this “silent killer” you may not know what to look out for.

You could be at risk if you’ve ever had unprotected sex or been tattooed with equipment that wasn’t clean. The risks of hepatitis include direct contact with the blood of an infected person. If you’ve ever shared equipment for injecting drugs, even if it was a long time ago and you only did it once, you could be at risk of hepatitis C. There are a lot of ways to contract and pass on this disease so make sure you are fully aware of the risks and treatments and get yourself tested if you think you could be in danger of having the disease. World Hepatitis Day is on the 19th of May the campaign will start to increase awareness of the disease.
